The more methanol used, the less important the intercooler even is. There are many in South America using ethanol and methanol with no intercooler at all.

Fast forward to hobb switch install and boom...meth comes on ONLY at the boost level i set it to.

Definitely invest in the solenoid boost cut valve...works like a dream.
excellent advice from an experienced meth user

the maker of snow inject is actually labonte motorsports - get it direct from them. He post quite a bit on our water injection forum.

the price for the coolingmist part is high, get it thru mcmaster.com

Ok, I found the hobbs pressure switch from MCmaster.com, but I couldn't find the right solenoid valve. There are soo many different ones. I was looking at part # 4639K4, and it looked nice. It says good for petroleum products.

Are these the only two parts I should replace?

my setup consists of:

*2 nozzles: 625ml/min & 175ml/min(175 currently not used)
*Hobb switch: part # 76052 15 NO ($10.50 brand new on ebay...i got lucky. Saved myself about $15)

*Shurflo pump(rplcement from TTP, purchased from a 3rd party)
*Solenoid valve from snow performance
*Relay that snow provides with the stage 1 kit.
*low fluid switch (doesn't work : ( ...purchased used..either a coolingmist/smc?)
*Zeitronix wideband, with boost input + failsafe.
*MacValve(Part #:36A-AAA-JDBA-1BA) closes once the zeitronix triggers it and routes boost to wastegate pressure.

How the failsafe works with the mac valve implemented:

Diagram of where I have my pump mounted. With the Snow kit you MUST mount the pump lower than the reservoir or siphoning will occur.

I wouldn't just rely on a low fluid switch to trigger the failsafe. The low fluid switches basic ones ground themselves once the fluid is to low. I would probably invest in either Labonte or the aquamist DDS3 unit. If you're gonna do meth do it right. $400? vs $3500 what would rather spend? $400 to get the DDS3 w/ gauge(i'm guesstimating on the price) or $3500 for a new motor. Also, it depends on how aggressive you have your meth tune setup. You can tune conservative so that it wont cause damage to your motor if the kit fails or you can tune aggressive and properly reap the benefits of meth injection...

the highly advanced aquamist dds3 turbine failsafe system is 270...

http://www.rallitek.com/aqddco.html

A wideband is necessary too when running meth - the zeitronix zt-2 is a very nice unit

high speed flow detection of the aquamist dds3 + the afr monitoring of the zeitronix...like i mentioned earlier, nothing comes close

That gauge looks very interesting. I might go for it.

The thing is I already dropped close to 2K on rebuilding my engine after I detonated. It ran for like 3 months after that, and I got my tune straight after that. I am thinking of not tuning too aggressively with the meth. Just enough to compensate for my small intercooler. Now I just spend another 600 for wheels on this site, and 300 for the meth kit. I'm pretty broke. I might go ahead and install the kit how it is, and then upgrade piece by piece when I can.

just have the failsafe inplace.

meth injection is an area you simple cant cheap out and go with the best deal.

its either pay now or pay a lot more if there is a system failure.

get it drunk

So, do you think I just shouldn't even install it then, if I can't afford a fail safe? and all the other parts?

I will always keep it filled, and not be one of the dumb-dudes who let it run out. My current situation is kinda like this.

1. install the snow performance stage 2 kit and use it until I can upgrade stuff
2. don't install it, and have slightly high intake temps. Retard timing to adjust and loose power.
