a) it's new
b) no downtime for a daily driver
c) I can have the hotside ported & coated at my convenience
d) no wait... the turnaround for upgrades is 6-8 weeks, that's lame

400whp is going to be iffy w/o alky or some way to run high boost...prolly need cams and also ported TB&IM, then if you're still a little ways off, order up an HFS-1 or HFS-5 and you'll be set!
I'm going to find out exactly where I stand with stock turbo, stock manifold, stock turbing housing, stock O2 housing, and stock WGA
Then I'm gonna swap the turbos and all the other parts above, re-tune, and head back to the same dyno within a matter of days so I'll have a good comparison.

Good plan. I would ask that when you do your comparo please keep the boost level the same as well. Many EVOGreen threads compare stock turbo at 22psi with EVOGreen at 28psi. Of course the Green is way more HP. DUH!!! I'd like to see how a Green actually performs in a direct comparison at the same boost level.
Thanks...
Here is a Graph that compares the gains on my set-up, with just the addition of the 20GLT and supporting mods, such as injectors, Forge IX actuator and re-tune. 30 psi.
Red/Blue=stock 16G 9.8
Green/Dark blue=20GLT
Pretty nice gains from start to finish. It shows the 20G has very much the same spool characteristics as the stock small VIII 16G..
This was back last year when I first installed it. Same Dyno.

You got it in 3 days - WTF, ya know?
