I tried search, but didnt find any definite answers. I am doing custom turbo-back exhaust with no cat. If the CEl light comes on will that screw up the ECU and try to compensate for the increase in airflow? or is it just a warning sensor and nothing AT all happens performace wise if the light does come on

 

Other people who have had test pipes with CEL have not had any perfromance decreases. But you should just copy what Ultimate did with their test pipe, if your exaust fabricator will install a O2 plug for ya. Ultimate has that NO CEL test pipe.

 

so all he has to is is make a bung for the o2 and stick it in and no cel?

 

why not save your money on fabrication of something that won't work and just buy the ultimate-racing 3" cat delete for $75.00. It's not only probably the cheapest but gauranteed no CEL. I've had mine for a couple hundred miles with no CEL.

the fab. part is free. All I have to pay for is parts. Which is pennys for tubing

 

You need a O2 eliminator, so far I think they are the only ones that make it. Basically it plugs on to the O2 harness and lies to the computer like it is an O2 that is working after a cat has cleaned up the exhaust gases. Probably worth it to just get their pipe for the price.
