Turn it off using ecuflash and tactrix cable.

I never had a cel when I removed my cat, guess I was lucky. It only came on when I installed my downpipe aswell.

Yes, CEL will turn on.

Mine even came on with a High-Flow Cat.

What exactly do you have to turn off in ecuflash?

Yes it will throw a code, just get an 02 extender. Moves the sensor back out of the exhaust stream and it won't throw a code. In ECUFlash you can pull your map, scroll down to the DTC/Engine Codes and find the Rear Catalytic Efficiency Below Threshold Code - it also will show up as a P0420 code which may be easier to find. Once you find it, turn the code off and reflash your map.

^^ this.

It's pretty much the same with every car. Deleting the cat makes the car think the cat is broken since the front and rear o2 sensor readings are almost the same, instead of the second o2 reading lower because of the restriction.

get the ultimate racing test pipe, it has a built in fix which moves the 02 sensor back. had mine on for about a year now and no codes.

A tuner can turn it of. Do whatever you want with the car for now in modifications and make the tune worth getting
