Apexi filter and induction box questions

this is slick - nice setup. I wonder if you actually get more airflow though? Is the filter element on the stock box the bottle neck and you get better airflow because of the increased surface area on the cone filter? Just from looking at it, it seems the filter surface area is actually not all that different. Hard to gauge of the one photo though ...

I asked the same thing. He actually has the whole bottom of the stock airbox cut out. So, it's basically just the top of the airbox covering the cone filter. I agree, it's a very nice stock appearing setup, without the need to build your own heat shield.
