Shifter bushings

So I am buying items I know I would eventually need since it takes a while to get them where I am

I am going ahead with the Bushur 2 pc under hood aluminium shifter bushings

What do you guys recommend for the actual shifter
Poly or metal?
Thanks

They will both give you a stiffer feel, but the aluminum shifter base bushings will be stiffer than poly.

if you have a five speed transmission and wanted poly, I'd suggest the full Kartboy kit. That will give you the bushings for the linkage under the hood as well as the shifter base in cabin. I just finished doing a **** load of research on this subject. Search is my friend. Unfortunately for me, I cannot go that route cause i have a 6-speed. I ended up getting the Brass Speed Source 2-peace for the linkage under the hood and for now, I'm leaving the shifter base stock. Hopefully it will be enough. If you want to go metal on the other hand, Buscher Racing and AMS sell great products. I went with the Speed Source though cause I liked the idea of Navy grade brass. Either way, do not forget this important note; apply some anti-seize lubricant to the bushings prior to installation. From what I found during my searches on this matter, some of the people who have not done this, ended up with seized up linkages and a car nearly impossible to shift. Hope this helps

I did antiseize a few weeks ago and it's notchy again...adjusted the shifter...nothing. I will check to see how it's looking. Will probably just subsitute for a synthetic grease
