Question on Buschur TBE (fitment)

I've had my Buschur TBE for about a year and a half now and haven't had any problems with it. Installed by the talented group of guys at topspeed.

I did have a question about the fitment. Because of the 3" downpipe, washers were put to space out the lower tie bars.

Now my cars is on ohlins coilovers so the ride height is considerably lower than stock and i have it a few things on the lowered lower tie bars. Also the entire run of the exhaust sits really low. it looks like it you could fit the stock exhaust piping over my buschur exhaust. Just curious if this is supposed to be the way it is.

If it is supposed to be this way, is there a way to modify it so that it would fit more flush with the body?

Well short of running no lower tie bars there really would be no way to get around this that I can think of. If you can take a picture of the exhaust where you say it is hanging down too low and either email them to me or pm them to me I can take a look and see if there is something that can be corrected. I know of two of my close friends who live around our town who run tein springs (which seem to drop a car considerably too) that have not had a problem with hitting anything on the road. Besides dead animals of course. Let me know.

Im assuming the bolts we provided for the 02 housing were used as well as the donut gasket being removed correct? Other than that it shouldnt be any lower than all of the other systems we do.

I ran TEIN S-techs on my car with our exhaust of course and I took my bars off. I would occasionally hit stuff or the random high points in the road where it was higher than others. I never had the problem after I took the bars off.

If I had an under shot of my car I would post it for you.

I'll take some pics.

Like i said i haven't had any real problems, just the one time of hitting a man hole cover that was 3-4" higher than the road because the road was being redone.

I was just wanted to know if it could fit any higher just to gain some more clearance underneath the car.

i remember the was a thread saying that buschur had a different downpipe that had a flexible section so that it could clear the lower tie bars without fitting them with the bushings, maybe i'm wrong.

i will get the pics tonight
