Ebay downpipe and Tie bars

I just had my ebay TBE installed, and noticed the ebay downpipe is very close to the tie bars. Its about 1/4 of an inch from touching it. Has anyone had an issue with the downpipe hitting the tie bars? Anyone using spacers?

Washers. Longer bolts wont do anything because you still gotta tighten it down and resulting to the same issue.
Use washers between the frame and tie bars NOT between tie bars and bolts.

3 to 4 washers should be good. Give or take depending on how much of a gap you need between tie-bars and downpipe.
hope that helps

Your best best would be to take the center bolt off of the rear tie bar (I believe) and take it into the hardware store with you. Use that bolt to get size up 10 washers, 2 for each of the 5 bolts and as said above put them between the tiebars and frame. You shouldn't need longer bolts unless you do spacers. With washers you should be fine.

Ah ok cool. I didnt take a look at the bolts myself yesterday when you had them out and didnt know if they were long enough. Sweet. I drove around a bunch last night & dont think I noticed anything unusual, but I always rather be safe than sorry!

From: somewhere on the east coast
call rmr and get their k-brace. It will solve your problem and help alot more than the stock tie bars in stopping the subframe from flexing in the turns.
