decision on intake manifold..AMS or HKS?
So I'm ready to buy the intake manifold and I'm confused as hell...
Here are my options...
-The AMS VSR twin rail manifold @ $1650USD (all options)
OR
-The HKS Kansai inlet manifold @ $1750USD
Heard nothing but great reviews on the HKS.
The regular AMS VSR has also proven itself so I'm sure this twin rail will too..same thing just twin rail.
Leaning toward the twin rail because common sense is telling me that it'll be a little easier to drive regularly....but maybe not...since my aim should only require 1200cc injectors and not 1600cc's...
Would 1200cc injectors be that hard to tune for a regularly (not daily) driven car? So that in fact the twin rail may be overkill...unless using 1600cc's?
again my aim is just around 9.6-9.9secs using the parts in my signature

I recently tuned a dsm with AEM EMS and 1200cc injectors and the drivability was great, idle was great too. This car didn't have any peak & hold driver box either just running off the stock injector resistor box.

^Yeah ....true...very true what you're saying..
was just wondering if 1200cc's were hard to tune for regular driving and that your twin rail would eliminate this problem...

Out of those two I would run the AMS, the VSR intake is just a piece of art.... Proven itself day in and day out, Eric is right though, why the twin setup if you are worried and save some $$$$..

I am in the processing of looking for an intake manifold as well. The AMS VSR is the one I want, but once again the $$ factor is hard to come by. If anyone is selling one used in great condition let me know! Otherwise, I will just wait until AMS moves again so that they can price it at $899 shipped again. In that case, I would buy it immediately.

Why don't you wait till Paul tests all the manifolds? There are other great ones on the market than the two you listed...
