There is white paint on the trigger wheel at the top when the wheel is installed in correct phase.

sounds like you're getting a totally different CEL than Troy, the misfire code is quite common.

yup thats where it is and thats the only way it will go on end of the camshaft....so now im to the point of just taking the things out which is one of the few things i dont want to do but i need my daily driver back on the road


im going to check over a few things and then just rip it apart again ....

Troy did you ever try the last ROM I sent with stock timing/VVT to make absolutely sure that isn't related?

ok, don't forget to reset the ECU before you load the new ROM just to make sure there isn't something old hanging in there.

well put the stock timing tune mellon sent me and car drives fine but the 4th time i turned the car off and on it poped up check engine so now im out to pull it all apart and put the stock cams back in ... sad that my gf's Christmas present doesn't get put to good use

did you verify that it was the same CEL and not something else this time?

yup i did it was still p0011(twice) ...intake camshaft position timing over advanced (bank 1)

i mean unless the timing mark doesn't really line up to be right idk ......
