buschur air filter........ works ecu flash

One more week till i have had my Evo for 4 months..
my baby has been stock all this time, but i think i should start wit a lil' basic modding.

I'm not really knowledgeable in installing for changing parts and stuff myself, so i was wondering if anyone had the buschur air filter kit installed. is it hard putting it on? I also plan to get the works ecu reflash, does anyone have both the reflash and air filter kit? Excited to finally do a lil modding so anyone that can give me some help would be great thanks.

I think if you can't handle putting the Buschur filter on, stop modding yourself right there. It's really very simple. So, yes, if you can turn a wrench, you can do it.

ok, thanks for the response, after reading other posts it doesn't seem to hard either...

OK Anyone out there that has the buschur or Rmr air filter ALONG with the Works ecu flash?? If so did you get it dynoed? Heard the air filter can make the car lose power. any chance the ecu will compensate for it?

It may make you lose a few HP.....but the car's boost is much more responsive! The boost comes on much quicker now. Get that restrictive air box outta there.

I only had RMR Air Filter including the brace and a Greddy BOV. Don't get buschur's air filter because it doesn't come with a brace. I had the RMR air filter for about a month now and I only noticed one thing, gain a little more power than the stock air filter.

WORKS intake coming soon...

Of course, while we think very highly of our design, our Brain flash works very well with a number of intake systems out there by other manufacturers.

David I'm still waiting on the "To be released Works reflash with the boost raised(you told me it is unofficial)" Is it still under intensive R&D or are you not going to release it? Thanks

anyone tried using the turbotrix air filter then? Because so far no one has complain on that, it seems to do just as well as buschur and rmr's for that matter.

inhale, exhale , ecu package?? gotta stop by WORKS at some point, i actually live just 15 min. away from your place David, really looking forward in working with you.

The reason this thread was up is because really no one has had a consistent good experience with the BOVs. I'm mean i like that sound, it makes the car that much more mean. Any other filters out there i'm missing out on, or is there a BOV that actually works great with the EVo with no leaks, or idling problem?

So has anyone had problems with their Buschur air filter falling off or any other problems?? Thanks.
