Some parts came with the car but I also purchased a few. I need to update my signature. I have an evo8 so i dont have an evo IX turbo. Thats what Im leaning towards though. As soon as I pick a turbo, I will be getting cams at the same time. I'm looking at GSC S1 272 cams.

To take full advantage of the Green you'll probably need to upgrade the cams. However, the standard IX waste gate actuator supplied on the Green should be fine. Is the coating needed? I guess it depends on who you talk to.

You'll spend around $700-800, and be up 35whp or so. Do yourself and get some cams already though, they're one of the biggest bang/buck you can get on a VIII. HKS 280's are the way to go IMHO, I picked up 50+whp in some areas and 35whp peak. Install all this and get a re-tune. You'll be happy!
I plan on sending my stock manifold in to get ported and coated. I completly forgot about sending my invidia o2 housing to get ported and coated.

So I have a question....Everyone mentions just to go with the stock evo9 turbo and not the evo 9 20g. Is the Evo9 20g not worth it?

You've got to be very specific when talking about 20G's. There are a number of possibilities that include "20G" in the name, some good, some bad.

The Forced Performance EvoGreen turbo, a.k.a., the Buschur Racing 20G-LT, is the real McCoy! It employs the IX housings but improved compressor and turbine wheels.

The Evo 9 20g. Not the 20g-lt. I know the differences. When I say green im talking about the 20g-9lt.

I have just got that I should go with the stock9 turbo. So is the EVO9 20G not worth it?

Any info on the stock 9 turbo or the Evo9 20g turbo? Is the Evo9 turbo bad or not worth it?

Most IXs don't give you 400whp with that setup so I don't know why you are talking like it's the average number with those mods.

In any case, you may not even need an upgraded turbo. It all depends on your car and what mods it likes. It's not trivial, so don't look to put these mods on the car and then expect what these people tell you the numbers should be. You will probably end up being disappointed.

Work with your car in stages and see what yields the most optimal powergain. With each stage, you'll need to tune it. Yea, it's sortof costly, but it's a great way to see what works and what doesn't.

Your car may need a IX turbo in order to make the power you are looking for, and then again, it may not.

The first thing I would do is find out why I lost 11whp with the same mods. It may not be the turbo.

Good Luck

Wow you made 351 on stock turbo and cams with just 100% Meth on 25psi? Do you have any other mods? I was told I wouldnt want to put more than 23.5 24psi on the stock turbo but once again you do have meth.

Yea, but I will admit that my car isn't the average. Power mods: TBE, Megan headers, and 10.5 hotside.

I have other supporting mods: K&N dropin, LICP, ARP head studs, Walboro fuel pump, ACT clutch, IX BOV, etc..

Typical boost on METH'd EVOs could go as high as 27-28psi on stock turbo. It all depends on what the car likes.

That's good man. The only thing you have that I don't have is the ARP head studs which I plan to get and the 10.5 hotside. That's impressive. The meth Im looking into that now cause Im really considering but I dont know much about it. thats why I started a forum to learn about meth(not this one another one)

I do not see where his car is anything special. Given you are on 91 octane. A IX turbo is a great upgrade on an 8 no matter what. Headstuds is a waste of money. It is a myth passed down from the dsm's. You will most likely get an oil leak. No point. Use that money on something else.

Not many 8s with the minor mods I have put those numbers down (meth or race gas). Just like not many IXs with your mods put down over 110whp from stock with just TBE, intake, boost and a FMIC.

Headstuds are safety for high boost. Just like a fuel pump is.
