GT40/94R vs FPHTA35R

Which should i get?

My mods are listed below. Here is what i am going to add to my mod list before i upgrade the turbo.

FMIC
UPPER IC & LOWER IC pipping
AEM EMS
Snow Performance Meth Injection Stage 2
Greddy Type S BOV
GSC S2s Camshafts
Ferrea Springs & Retainers

Goal 500-600 whp on pump & meth mix, and still keeping A/C and Power steering. This will be my DD, i will have it tuned to be mild and conservative on low boost, and a MONSTER on high boost

That's like comparing orange to grapefruit. They are not even in the same league.

you would be better off comparing the hta35r to a 37r.........where you dont have to build your motor on 35r..there are plenty of people running stock bottom end...if you go 37 id reccomend building the bottom end

Honestly, you wont even get to put the GT40 in it's sweet spot without a built engine. Furthermore, you're going to require at least 40 or so PSI on that turbo to make it sing, all you would do is blow the engine!!! You cannot stuff a huge turbo on a stock EVO motor and expect power. Things like the tranny, tc, clutch, motor mounts, etc etc have to be upgraded to keep the reliability of that car. Do you even have head studs??? You could get a FPHTA35R and with the mods you have can enjoy it. A GT40 would spool at like 5,000 RPM and by the time you got to 7800 or even 8 grand a damn 20G would have left you already... just my .02

IF you brake boost with a 40r you will not have to worry about lag and will swallow a 20g whole for a snack and **** it out right before dinner time.

I see alot of poeple upgrading their turbos without even getting near its max effeciency, such a waste imo..
