You need headstuds on DSMs because the heads lift so easy. My brother's pushes coolant at 27psi... junk. I would only bother if you have the cylinder head off the car, which I believe you dont.

Look put it this way. Take the money that newbs want you to spend and get 5 lap dances. Your car will stay the same and the only head that you need to worry about lifting will be happy with the money spent.

Naw I dont think I would need the head off. Im just doing turbo, cams...well thats the only thing close. Springs and retainers maybe. I dnt need to take the head off for any of that right?

Ive never done cam gears on any of my cars, do I need the head off for that?
