Loud pop?

Question Loud pop?

I was driving last night, and i down shifted to 4th and pulled around 5-6k rpms i heard a loud pop and i have no idea what it was...it didnt do it in 3rd or 5th at that rpm range so does any have an idea? I checked the upper pipe and it wasnt loose at the connections/elbows....so i really dont know

backfire??? or maybe diff slap from the rear differential from letting off the clutch hard while driving. It sounds like a backfire or pop

Misfire or the bottom end of the uicp connecting to the ic. However, if you had boost leak issues you would have felt it under load big time so probably backfire.

did you match revs when you went into 4th? My car will make like a pop or a backfire as you will when I match revs my exhaust is also really straight so no back pressure equals high flow and lots of pops and back fires

yeah guys idk, like i said in the first post thats all i can really say...im running about 21-22 psi untuned, which should be taken care of in april but normally a backfire is just a pop isnt it? not something that you feel hard in the car is it??? Cause when i felt it i was like whoaaaaa.....k, off the peddle but i didnt happen at all in any other gear

^plugs were just taken out and replaced like 2k miles ago, and that was the 2 coldest plugs on the ams site
