is not the mbc. you can just disconect the line from the wast gate and she still dont get more than 15lb. we still waiting for the owner to call back with the catless run.

Alright guys... im sitting in the car as we speak actually typing this. We took a few logs. Running open DP, we managed to hit 1.3 bar but she wont go any higher then that nomatter what i do to the boost controller. I probably should have checked if she will go lower... i will do that shortly and post in a bit. We are installing my stock CAT on it and see if the boost goes back down or if his HFC was causing issues.
Here are a few logs so you guys can see whats going on. If you want me to log anything specific, please let me know

Running open DP, we managed to hit 1.3 bar but she wont go any higher then that nomatter what i do to the boost controller. I probably should have checked if she will go lower... i will do that shortly and post in a bit. We are installing my stock CAT on it and see if the boost goes back down or if his HFC was causing issues.

have you eliminated the possibility of misfire?
is it an 8 or 9? i havent read all of the posts.... what plugs? start with some simple stuff first.
run an 18psi spring, and connect a signal line from the comp housing directly to the lower port on the gate.

plugs denso IKH24 pretty new... car doesnt sound like its misfiring. We checked plugs when we did the compression check and they looked like we just put them in. They are gapped to .024
We did try running a line directly from the LICP nipple to the lower wastegate nipple and removing the boost controller from the equation... that left us with no changes... still .8 to 1 bar.
tonight taking off the HFC and running open DP we manage to see 1.3 bar but the car would not get higher then that, and that still wasnt until 6000 rpm or so. This thing is turning my brains into mush....

I just read the whole thread Jason, and I gotta tell ya it doesnt seem to make sense to me either. What injectors? I am wondering about your comment on how the last turbo got clipped by a piece of something. What was the boost like before on the last turbo? I am thinking that the 2 must be related. What were the results of the compression check?

Hey JB...
yeah, its a strange one for sure. Usually we are spot on with diagnosing vehicles and their ailments but this one has us for a loop.
The injectors are Precision 880's... i suppose if there was something wrong, you'd be able to tell from the logs, but i didnt see anything.
We've got a wideband for the car that will be being installed tonight so we should be able to see something.
As far as the car previously.... He was having issues with what felt like fuel cut.... i wanted to get him tuned but he didnt have time to get on the dyno so we put it off. I baseflashed him and it didnt seem to correct anything. He took the car to the dealership after a few hours of troubleshooting with no luck. The dealership gave the car to him fixed. They said all they did was turn down his boost controller. ( i dont buy that ) but, it was running right for a week or so.... then the no boost symptom came on and we found his turbo clipped. After he got it back from the dealership though, his car was running and boosting normal. It just couldnt see any boost over 21 psi without having issues nomatter what the tune did.
