Intake Manifold

This may sound like a n00bish idea, but I am pretty new to the Evo community anyway. I was looking around to replace my stock exhaust manifold but after reading about it most people say the stocker is best to stick with. So I then stumbled upon intake manifolds for our cars...

It says here the Weapon R manifold makes 50WHP!? Does someone know if it fits IX MR's? If it does I will get it for sure and was wondering why nobody else has gotten it..? Or why nobody has talked about it, because yes I have searched far and wide across the boards for good information.. All suggestions welcome

50whp alone, I doubt it. With a larger turbo and good tuning I could forsee this. Although for that price I truly wonder how much R&D when into it.

I would of course recommend the PPI Throttle Body and Ported Intake Manifold.

wouldnt you lose some torqe going with a ported or larger intake mani? I am going for 50 trim kit on the stock motor and am trying to find all the ways i can make it spool faster.

Yes you want a proper plenum size for your turbo setup. This is what makes the stock IM hard to beat.

Are there any HP numbers for the ported and coated Intake and exhaust manifolds..? Id get this done by PPI if they had dyno graphs to prove its worth

PPI hasn't shown any proven results that I've seen. Only Buschur Racing (davidbuschur), so that's why I went with them. I have ported exhaust manifold, intake manifold, and 65mm throttle body. IM/TB just went on last week, and they are awesome!

I say go with the guy that proved the power gains in the first place....

Felt increase, have not checked logs yet, but I have discovered a big boost leak test I need to take care of, then I'll be hitting the dyno for new numbers.
