The RMR site has sound clips on it... I really like it - it seemed a little loud at first, but later it grows on you. Makes stock sound wimpy... I am 31, so I didn't want ricer sounds either

Thanks for responding again. Again a newbie question: what is the RMR website?

I'm extremely satisfied with the RMR catback, will have to wait on the dp. The tone is nice, a bit over the tone of the stock exhaust which I really liked, but the RMR is in no way intolerable. Very throaty and reasonably priced, super high quality, best I've ever seen in an exhaust. btw, Eric is super helpful and will drop pretty much anything to explain or discuss something with you over the phone.

haha...i agree with you. a piece of pipe for $300. Why dont i just go to home depot and pick up a "Works Exhale???" I'll buy it if it cost no more than $150. That's for their 3" mandrel bent, bracket and flange, and their i could care less polished engraved logo. I do like their ECU reflash but i rather buy the AEM one so I could program my own stuff to my liking but it's just too expensive for now.

EDIT: If I were you, wait for the HKS cat back that will soon be coming out for the EVO VIII.

AMS > RMR...

and Works...? seems like a monkey-**** company all around IMO... i'm still sitting here laughing at that 400 section of pipe... the exit on that thing looks even smaller than stock...

$400 for that...?
The RMR has dual resonators in the pipe section, pre-muffler. Sounds awesome. When I move back east, I will have to show you east coasters what it's all about.

I checked out the AMS exhaust and that is still a little more raspy than I was looking for. Is the RMR exhaust quieter or louder than that?

Here is a link to the RMR sound Bites... It is the only certified street legal exhaust that I know of right now. it runs at 94 db at the state testing rpm of 4800. Let me know what you think. The audio is so-so, its hard to capture exhaust tones with a mic and laptop. I'm not sure how other people do it... but let me know what you think.
