Personally, I think the Vishnu signature catback is far and away the most refined exhaust I have heard. Very very smooth.

He's talking about some of these exhausts out there that make that fart pfffffffffffffffffft sound... I know what he means since I have seen a couple of those guys around. The sound of the motor itself can very greatly based on exhaust harmonics. I think any of the bigger name products would be ok for what you're looking for. Just a difference in how loud and the tone. Go to an Evo meet and check what everyone's running - I think that's the best way.

I think you've misstaken your low compression boosted motor with a high comp. honda raspy rice bucket.

You can run a open Dpipe and it still wont sound like a ricer bucket. When you go WOT people may mistake your car for a jet engine though.

Yea that is a good point and I didn't really think about it that way. However, I still want quietest possible with sacrifice of performance.

I have the Buschur 3" turbo back. With the test pipe it sounds like a pure race car (sounds like these cars should sound). If you use the high flow CAT it tones the noise down a bunch.

Just got my Fujitsubo Legalis type R catback exhaust. It sounds like stock one, even quieter than stock one on some rpm ! you can check out http://www.fujitsubo.co.jp and click on Product info and then click Legalis R and find the parts number:790-32051 and click on that part number and you will see all the info about that exhaust like hp and sound file, weight and so on ! If you want something quiet, this the exhaust for you !!

any pics of it installed? how does it line up? I thought that exhuast was meant for the JDM rear bumpers? Let me know, i want it!!

doesn't seem all that bad to me, this coming from someone who spent $500 on a Mugen axleback for my civic.

I disconnected the stock can to see what differences there would be. Not much. I even made a little metal prop to hold the flap valve open. Again, only a little more low frequency noise, no rasp or rap. More efficient flow with less noise seems unlikely. I would need to see some sound pressure measurments and some dyno curves here.

This car makes an unmuted statement though its every feature. Personally, I think the rear wing is more obnoxious than the exhaust note. Why not just leave her stock and use your other car for clients. After all, if they think the noise is too over the top what must they think of the rest of the package? I think its fun to drive a car like this and enjoy using "mid-life crisis" as my rationale.

That's what we have been saying all along about the Exhale No need to put a boat anchor of a muffler on the car when it doesn't need one. This is also why our axle back makes comparable power to most cat backs.

The shipping cost me almost $330. it take 3 days to get to my door !! if you have friend in Japan, you can save up to $200 if you have your Japan friend get the exhaust from Japan Yahoo auctions. I believe the shipping will be the same, but you get $200 off the list price. Will post pic later when I got home.

Very good point and I feel the exact same way. I actually take the rear wing OFF the car when I go to see clients. I am trying to devise a "quick release" system for the rear swing so I can pop it on and off quickly as needed.

Hopefully in a few more months, I will be able to get a nice enough business car that I don't have to drive the EVO anymore when I take clients out. Then all hell will break loose!
