just blew a rod through the block, since its jdm what are the best ways to start a build as i am new to this situation. also i can't buy everything at once. help if you can

 

Assuming it is a drop in, the cheapest option is to buy a used block on here. If you want to upgrade, it is cheaper to build a 2.4 or you can buy a fully built 2.4 short block from Slowboy Racing for about $2700 with no core exchange.

 

It should be the same engine as the evo 8. So yeah, the short block from SBR should be ok for you. Do you know what cause the rod to let go?

 

i havent found out yet what caused it but soon as i ****** it out ill find out what happened and thanks for the info
