1st Gear Issue
I have had no issues really with this until about 20 minutes ago. I was on way home & out of no where, the 1st gear started having some issues going into 1st. At one light, i kinda had to force it in. Got home, and sprayed some WD-40 on my Buschur shifter bushings, hoping this would help. I drove around a little and it seemed to help and the car drove just fine. Then the first gear issue started happening more..and now its a toss up, 50% of the time it goes it in like it should, the other 50% it feels difficult to go in.
Some info:
-Exedy Twin Disk was put in, in October and has 2500 miles, IF that.
-Clutch was bled at the time
-I have the clutch pedal completely maxed out, because that did not cause any 'notchiness' at the time.
-I have Buschur metal shifter bushings
-Never launch this car, or ever start a race or anything of the nature in 1st. I havent been in a race/dragged in atleast 4 months. Just regular daily driven, to and from work.
-I have not yet exceeded 330whp either, just got the 3065 kit on and havent turned up the boost at all.
Also, to add to this post... Here within the last month, Ive occassionally had this issue, where if I try to shift very quickly (daily driving) from 1st->2nd, the shifter almost feels as if its still catching on 1st gear and I have to pull it out into 2nd. Now, if I granny shift slowly from 1st->2nd, I dont get that feeling and it drops right in like it should.

Ok, I let the car cool completely down, and adjusted the pedal up 1 more thread. (I am literally out of threads at this point, where the clutch pedal will literally fall off the adjustment rod.)
I let the car warm up & I drove around. I did not experience the problem at all, at this time.
Something a friend mentioned to me, was possibly my stock clutch line was swelling causing this issue & to put on a braided line. I do have a Buschur line sitting in my room awaiting install, but do you think it will fix this issue?
Thanks

try to install the SS clutch line and remove the pill see if it helps.(but I doubt) and you said you havn't launch or race the car right?...so I think its the tranny. I had that problem on my 5th gear. I just installed my shep tranny rebuilt last week and it is sooo much better now!

Stock tranny has 27,000 miles on it, '03 model car.
I drove around some more tonight with the maxed out clutch pedal- and its not exactly hard getting it into 1st anymore, just feels a tad notchy like it usually does. I drove around for 20-30 minutes & problem did not really re-occur. I of course do not want to believe I have a bad tranny (so much damn money), but what about the master cyclinder? No one has really mentioned that before. Fluids are perfect in the master cylinder though.

Car was bought bone stock at 22k miles. So, its been a little modded for about 5k, never tracked.
Weather has been under 35 degrees for most of my driving the last few months.. although, today it warmed up to about 45 and thats when I began having my shifting issues. Weather was back down to about 30 tonight and seemed to be shifting a bit better, just a little notchy like normal, but no forcing it in like I was doing earlier. Wierd, huh.

I still suggest putting ths ss clutch line and taking off the pill. You should have installed it when you put the new clutch. You can search to find out why I say this... But I highly suggest to get it rebuild soon if you don't want spending more at the end.

On the way to work, everything seemed to drive fine. I got on it in 2nd, and immedatley came to a stop. I tried putting it in 1st and it started giving me trouble again.
Went ahead & went to work. Came back out 8 hours later, and tried to shift while warming up. I could barely get it in hardly ANY gear from a standstill spot. Started the attempt to drive home. It got a little better on the way home but still difficult getting into 1st and the rest of the gears felt kinda mushy too.
WTF IS GOING ON, its pissing me off.

Bleed the system
Re-bleed the clutch line. Make sure this is done correctly. I have on 03 with 44k miles on it that I have owned since day one. I recently got my 2nd clutch installed at 43k miles. I have had various shifty issues since my first clutch install at 9k. What it finally came down was the clutch line was never bleed properly. I went to multiple dealerships about the problem and none of them were able to diagnose the problem. So when I got my car back with my new clutch the shifty issues got worse. They finally rebled the system and now my car is finally shifting like butter. Do a search on me and you can see my other post where I have gone into detail about my shifting issues.

Ok. I plan to bleed the clutch hopefully today. The weather is terrible here at the moment though.
I will say this, to update the thread. I drove about 10 minutes this morning, tranny shifted perfect all the way to my destination. Right before I arrived, I got on it a couple times (in the ice, no boost) and slid around a tad bit in a straight line. I stopped completely, tried shifting and BAM, difficult to shift.
My theory: Since heat expands, im thinking when the transmission gets real warmed up, it begins have the issues. The clutch might be having engauge/disengauge issues once it begins heating up which is causing my shifting to go to ****. Anyone else agree?

Bled clutch today and drove around. I didnt notice any air in the system as the socket was over the valve. Drove around for a little while & didnt notice anything unusual.
Drove home later that day, and no issues. I go to park the car, and try to do a few tests. I put the clutch in, put it in 1st, pulled back to neutral, released clutch. I repeated the process & it started the difficult feeling again.
Now, if I put the clutch in, go to first, pull back to neutral (while still holding the clutch down) and putting it back into 1st again, smooth as butter. But as soon as I release the clutch pedal, apply clutch pedal, put it in 1st, back to neutral, release clutch it becomes very difficult to put back in 1st.
Why is this? I am running out of theories here.
