^^ Agree..

i got about the same mods on my cars motor (50trim,880 injectors, 44mm Tial WG) but i have S1 cams and Forge Boost controler. I have never had my boost taper off like that.

I got 400HP with mine with more boost and 91 Octane...so the car your working with should make a bit more with your heavenly pump gas you damn east coasters get.

yes 50-trims still tend to die off at redline, please post the graph

Since I tuned the car I guess I will atleast state what is going on with the car.

The boost spikes to around 24 or so when it spools up and it then drops about 4 psi or so. The culprit could be a number of things ranging from the boost controller to a leak in the charge system somewhere.

I recommended an EBC because they do hold boost more stable throughout the RPM range and are usually more consistent on higher boost setups because of the actuation the boost solenoid can perform during the pull.

And I am not sure how if you are running 18 psi at your max power, that you can state that you are actually running what you spiked to earlier in your pull. That is pretty retarded.

That would be like saying my car spool initially to 10 psi but by redline it was running around 18 psi because of inadequate wastegate priority in the manifold and stating that I made all this power at 10 psi.

But overall the car runs very well and I am happy with the numbers that it made. Now for a new boost controller and a new dyno sheet at higher boost... maybe some race gas?

An for whom said it is 24psi b/c it seen the number during the dyno. thats not true if you actually hold 24 psi you hold it this spiked 23.99psi an dropped but held 18 psi when it made its power not 24.

hallman is not a bleeder mbc- and a 50trim can definatly hold alot more boost without tapering like the stock turbo so holding 25psi at redline should be no problem- see what spring u have in your wastegate and run a boost leak test- it could be more than the intercooler piping leaking- like the throttle body gaskets or an injector gasket.

Next time I go to that particular shop to tune I will pick it up. I tried to have one of the guys that work there email it to me, but he sent the wrong one some how. But hopefully by the end of this week..

Oh, and I am planning on making a boost leak tester to check for leaks with this car. I figure I will need one for my race car anyway, so might as well put it to use here.

Good work John, nice to see you're broadening your horizons lol. Been a while since I've seen you on HMT also...post up that dyno sheet when you get it.

Thanks dude. I have been tuning a bunch of misc stuff, I just don't advertise it too much as I like to stick to hondas mainly. But I have done a bunch of interesting setups, from turbo cavaliers to SR20de turbo setups in older body sentras. Its always interesting doing something new.
