Time for a race head! BR, AMS or JAM?
If there was a problem with his head then Chad should have brought up the issues with us and not run to Buschur and have him to the dirty work. REAL professional. He had the opportunity when he came to pick up his engine when we decided to part ways but instead he said nothing. Being a business man you would think he'd have the courage to address and solve these types of problems face to face. He never had ANY problems with our work when we were doing it for him. There were nothing but good things said about us by Chad up until the point where we couldn't reach an agreement with his "time attack" project. He wanted a free motor, we wouldn't give it to him, then all of a sudden we are the worst shop in the country.
I do not want to get into a big argument, but this is not what happened.

Sure. Chad got what he paid for. I need to go back and look at his invoice but I'm 90% sure he got a St.3 package which at that time didn't include chamber work. The first time we did his build he wanted to keep it mild-er. Plans for the next build included chamber work but we never got that far before he pulled the stuff out of the shop. I'm not sure what is meant in that thread by 'different sized valves', but as far as I know, intake valves are larger than exhaust.
Derek?
I seem to remember a small issue with a leaky galley plug on your car. I also remember driving up the CBRD to fix it. Any other problems weren't brought to our attention.
Did you get the issue with your tune resolved?

I posted the pictures of the head on our site. It is in fact your head and was in fact done at your shop unless Chad is a liar. He also asked you about the clearance issues and was told it was correct, this is what I got from Chad, I was no present.
The fact that you admited the head was done at your shop should be enough for everyone to know your work is a joke, the port work sucks and the combustion chambers are untouched, that's what you get from $1900 at your shop.
As far as acting professional, I never said a word about you directly until this thread. Over a year ago you were flapping your gums about us. I called there and asked some questions as a "customer", the big mouth woman who answered the phone started speaking poorly of our work when I asked a question. At that point I informed her who I was and the conversation was "shortened" to say the least.
Now, you've admitted that's your head, anyone can see what a **** poor port job it is and I've told you before, you were not the first 8 second 4g63 DSM.
We clear yet? Also, from the amount of blown engines Extreme had when you were doing their engines I don't think I'd be bragging about it.
I'll get Chad to chime in and provide his story about his treatment from you.
Thanks for playing.

I saw the photos on the thread in your forum but thanks for pointing that out.
I didn't say it was our head, I said it may be and that if it was it didn't leave the shop looking like that. So no, I didn't admit that it was ours. Don't put words in my mouth.
You didn't need to mention our name directly, clever wording. Everyone knows who you were referring to. Your games are less than humorous. Don't be upset that the "Big Mouthed Lady" that answers the phone has forgotten more about engines than you'll ever know.
I've addressed the necessary points and have nothing left to say to you. I will address any issues that Chad brings up and will leave it at that. If you feel the need to discuss anything farther, feel free to call me.

I didn't say the big mouth "lady" I said woman, there's a big difference there. If she's that good you better get her porting heads and putting them together because who ever did the one CBRD did sure didn't know what the hell they were doing. hahaha Have a nice day, stay slow.
that was our head...
Mark (my tech) and myself had questioned the clearance issue and were told it was of proper tolerance..... we trust our engine builders to do the proper work, we dont build engines ourselves... its not what we do... In racing, we learned you cant be everything to everyone, we have no desire to build our own engines...
I am not going to get in a pissing match over this.... I have to work with a company that I feel is a good fit for us.
The head is now back in our hands, from BR and we are excited to see what we can do with it.....
Dave was kind enough to help out with the repairs knowing we had a tight timeframe for our time attack car.
as requested by Evom.net, I will not make any further comments regarding our relationship with JAM, just to say, we are no longer working with them. It had NOTHING to do with our time attack car, which is BS. I think our reputation on this forum speaks for itself.
If you are trying to decide between BR, AMS, and JAM for your headwork, I recommend calling them and asking questions, see who you are most comfortable with...
Cheers

This is a public forum. I almost bought a long block from JAM at one point. Almost did from Buschur too. Went with Magnus. This **** matters and I'm not instigating. Caveat Emptor you dictator.
Thanks for adding your input Chad.
I am done argueing over it too. As Chad has said, you guys can decide for yourself what you want to run and who you think you will enjoy working with the most.

It seems that talking trash about competing engine builders and their tuners is JAM standard operating procedure.
If need be, I can post the copies of the emails.
