Results for FP Green WITHOUT doing up engine

Hi guys,

I am in Singapore and the things you guys put in your cars are not always available here.

I installed the following HKS items : intercooler, exhaust manifold, downpipe, intake manifold.

I changed to 770 injectors and had fuel pump, fuel regulator and fuel rails installed. I am running the Trust PEII exhaust. I have done nothing with the cams, valve springs, porting, meth, etc.

I am getting about 55 torque and 412 HP at crank based on a dyno set at 1.1.

My question is : are these results acceptable or do I have a problem in terms of extracting the right power from the car?

I am hoping for some enlightenment. Hope to hear your views.

That sounds pretty good, cams would be a good next step to get more power out of your car.

I am running 98 octane petrol. Was alway told that turbo cars should run that, but perhaps I was wrong.

Cams are great, but they cost alot to do here. We aren't a "do it yourself" culture unfortunately and this means a professional workshop does it for us.

So can I assume that the numbers are looking good? Someone said that 430 - 450 HP at crank is possible on my setup. Was wondering if this is a myth?

guess the question is how is this dyno'd and what else is under the bonnet. I heard valve springs to reduce compression makes a world of difference.

I think you should save some money and put it towards the cams and install. Once they are in you will realy see the value. Your 430 to 450 crank will be no problem. You have pretty good numbers as it is, and I attribute that to your 98 octane! Yes we here in the states put more parts on then you have iavailable it seems, but the majority are using only 93 octane (or 91 for us high altitude evos) and have to either use more expensive gas or supplement with meth. I know its expensive, but you will be happy with the results of adding cams!

Valve springs won't really do anything for you at all. Don't do those.

Cams on an EVO9 aren't a big deal like they are on the EVO8, I'd probably skip that considering your situation.

If your local tuner has experience with meth, that would be a very good mod to do. If not, stay away.

If you haven't done an open intake filter and intake box, I'd reccomend that.

The FP green should net you around ~30whp (40crank) vs. a stock turbo on full tilt. Whether thats worth it or not is up to you.

EDIT: Your numbers look great. Now add octane and you should be good to go.

The stock 9 turbo on high octane will kill a green on pump. Personally I don't think the green is worth the price. This is my opinion...mileage may vary.

Since you are sitting almost on the equator I would recommend chemical intercooling or a better FMIC as heat is your biggest enemy.
