Forge Recr BOV w/ Filter

I just ordered my Forge Recirculating BOV for my EVO. I also have a cone filter I was wondering if anyone has this combo installed. How loud is the BOV compared to stock. I was reading up on this through a couple of threads but I havent heard a sound file or anything with a recirculating BOV. Thanks in advance for anyone that replys to this thread!

Chris

Yes, and it makes for a very nice blowoff sound when shifting. RMR intake and Forge DV, excellent combination.

Ive got it done and it makes a huge difference from the stock setup.....You can hear the Turbo Sucking air through the intake and then when the BOV opens up its pretty loud...

I left on the stock air vent to pull more cold air into the engine bay tooo.. dont know if it helps or not but what the hell

I have the setup and it works very well. Although even with fuel management it seems like when I down**** and hit the gas in traffic I have some sort of power loss probably because of the filter and settings. Never had that with the stock box.

I also have had the power loss and loss of throttle response with an open element. I have found the best set up to be the stock air box with a K&N drop in filter. I am guessing it throws of the air fuel ratio by the MAF sensor. Maybe when If I get a reflash or a Xeced it might work ok then but for know I'll stay with what works with my butt dyno.

I am getting my Forge recirculating valve on Friday and having it and GReddy turbo timer installed on Wednesday on next week...can't wait, then Eibach springs and performance MODS are after that. The front wheel gap is killing me....

I have the Forge recirculating BOV, but b4 I added the BOV I had the AMS catback, and a K&N cone filter.

I think there was some power loss, b/c you loose some boost (MBC and an AFC-II cured that) , but IMO the car ran a lot smoother in traffic w/ the K&N.

The BOV is pretty loud, but it's not to bad and it sounds pretty awesome. My turbo is also starting to spool up faster (around 2700 RPM).

Have you ever heard the stock BOV w/o the air box? It sounds like your car is sneezing.
