its all good. personally 2 friends of mine have evogreens, 1 friend has an sti with an fp green and another has an fp green with a 30r wheel in it. he had an fp red but the damn inlet kept popping off so he went back to green but with a bigger wheel this time to make a bit more top end. i know that the turbos are not the same but i just had a glimmer of hope that since the subaru green with the hta wheel happened to flow much more, ours would too. since fp hadn't confirmed everything all i had to base wanting it off of was hearsay and the also recently released hta verson of the subaru green which happened to flow more. i thought wow i hope that comes to us as well. then boom, talk of a turbo with the same styled wheel in it for us, that the subaru got. i dont want a tme style green.currently i have the strongest stock turbo'd pump gas evo in town. i've had my run in's with well over 40 evos in houston and none have matched me pump to pump on the road or at the drag strip. lowness being the exception. his tme netted him 1 car on me while i had a nickel sized hole in my intercooler pipe. he has a green now so no point in comparison. his car moves out hard! anyhow i wont be getting the hta. when something of more flow comes about, ill be on the list but id rather sac spool for top end. thats just my 2 cents.

For a good example, check out the big 50 trim thread that was revived from the dead recently, and the comparo of the Green vs a 50 trim. They flow the same amount of air, but people are making better numbers (curve, spool, usable power) on the green, but yet.....same air flow. Unless the HTA Evo Green ends up being an 8.0cm TD05, they have nothing in common outside of the name. I seriously doubt that the HTA wheel, which was confirmed by FP themselves, is going to add another 10lbs of air! Sorry you caught the brunt of my frustration there but its annoying to see people not read the thread, and just post the comparisons and asking why our HTA green won't push more air since theirs does.

Back on topic - unless the HTA upgrade is a very small increase in price, I would pass on this turbo. Granted its spooling faster, which is great depending on your application (RR, autoX, street car) Heck, I still don't like the idea of shelling out nearly 2k for a 16g, especially after seeing whats capable with a stock 9 turbo with a great build. Lucas hit 480+, and the OKIX car hit what, like 450 on an extremely well built green? I'm NOT putting down what OKIX did at all, they obviously went a slightly different path, just saying, why spend 1700+ when 5-700$ from the for sale section is now possible to hit similar results. Now that FP is somewhat confirming a larger bolt on, I'll wait for those results first. Just hope its not priced at like 2700$
The minor detail you seem to be missing is that Lucas car was dynoed on a DJ and okIX was dynoed on an MD....HUGE difference there.

OKIX's car, now unofficially known as BabyBish, pending approval from DB and Peter, is should now put down probably 480+ on the Buschur Racing Mustang Dyno. Changes are HD actuator to hold at least 3 psi more in the midrange-topend, larger injectors for the increased airflow by the new DI intake manifold. Also, David recently posted exact increases in his Deluxe IC (which we were using) vs the Race FMIC (which we are now using) at the exact same boost. These combined changes should easily have added 30-40 whp on his dyno, since his comparisons actually added up to 45-50 whp gains. Just setting all of the current facts straight.

Those are the next mods for my green setup....dont know which intake yet. I already have the FP HP wga...probably going to switch to the AEM EMS boost control to see how much boost I can get this beast to hold.

tony gibson, I looked (and am still looking at) the AEM tru boost setup. Holding even 1 or 2 psi in the high rpm range could be just enough to get a win instead of a loss at the track. I'm first going to try a few tricks with the MBC. Hopefully, we'll be able to start back on the race tune. Got to get the clutch fixed first, but I think we're on top of that.

Have you thought about trying the GM 3-port?
