new green turbo
Finally the answer straight from the source!!!!!
My green needs to be rebuilt anyway, so i'm shipping it out to FP tonight. Hopefully they will be able to rebuild it with HTA wheel!!

Now would this hta-green just aid in spool up or would it also make some more top end? because one of the reasons that made me not want to get a green was that alot of people say how coming from a evo ix turbo it is not huge improvement in power.
Robert,
Cool stuff and thank you for clearing up some of the information that had started to gather in this thread
Does this mean the HTA Green, with its better efficiency, might make numbers on pump closer to what the current Green does on higher octane or meth?
Also, "the larger varients" lol come clean...is this the Red we have all been waiting for????

No offense, but its time to find a new tuner or dyno. The Green can make an easy 350whp on pump, and more when you spend time with it. I wouldnt be surprised to find 400whp with cams and some good tuning.

i think on a dynojet i'd be in the 350's.
it is projected to match the airflow of the existing green, which puts it at about 47lb/min. The 68mm HTA wheel is actually slightly smaller than the current 69-5 wheel. It is also much lighter. Both these factor decrease the inertia of the wheel and contribute to a faster angular acceleration of the turbo.
it will appear the same externally as the current green, no external changes to the turbo, still 100% stock fitment and compatibility.
preliminary testing has shown the 68mm HTA wheel to be stable at 2500rpm and over 22psi without compressor surge, so as of now no eff robbing surge ports required.
Boost ON!

Are you guys going to make something like the Red that will allow us to put about 55lbs or so of air through our Evos without having to go to a slow spooling large frame turbo?
If not thats ok, I'll get my fix somewhere else. If you are however let me know as I want one and am willing to wait.
Just not forever.
Thanks! Dan

47lbs/min?!? i was hoping for a little more. oh well unless they come out with a "RED" then it looks like an HTA3076 for me? I wonder will the offer the regualr green and the hta green. Eitherway, i bet a HTA GREEN WITH A 9.0 HOUSING would spool fast as hell. Perfect for autox
