there not losing potential green buyers...if anything they are gaining buyers because people considering buying a green will want to go HTA and people who werent even considering will now look into it.

I don't see the point in an FP red. It's not going to look stock. The whole reason people get these turbos is to make as much power as they can while looking stock.

If I was going to get a turbo that wouldn't pass for stock I'd just get a HTA 3076r.

the red will prob be much laggier than the green unless they plan on making it an HTA option if its anything like the dsm FP red.

I don't think its the fact it looks stock as much as its a bolt-on turbo that makes more power than stock for less than a full kit - that is what is appealing.

At the point you upgrade to a new turbo your beyond the world of looking stock anyway

It was always my understanding that the fp green was already an "HTA" turbo? I thought when it first came out, this was the first turbo to use the HTA wheel which, combined with the larger turbine, is what made it so much more efficient than your typical 20g? IMO, there will be no HTA green for the evo. I think it's a rumor. Now FP Red or something of the like.......I can see. Either way, please let us know FP so that we can stop guessing and start saving!!! It will only benefit you guys!

The Green uses the old White Rabbit 20g compressor wheel with a larger turbine. The HTA upgrade is an upgrade to the compressor wheel, not the housing. FP has used Tial's housing so far.

And the WR wheel is not an HTA conception? Also, I don't understand what you mean by the housings? The green housing are stock and machined.

The old red was a 60-1 wheel and moved about 60# minute.

The HTA 3076 wheel moves 57# and has modern aero at work as well.

If there were to be a "Red" I think thats all it would be is that wheel in a stock housing. Gotta wait though and see what happens.
