There have been threads about upgrading turbos from their current form to HTA. I've seen upgrades for the 37r,35r,3065, and 3076. While all those will take care of some lag and improve torque, I was wondering why there hasn't been talk of this upgrade on the 3071r. This turbo as I understand flows similarly to the fp green(maybe more) and makes good power at meth/race gas levels.

Wouldn't this upgrade on the 3071r make almost stock like spool similar to the green but keep the topend of a small gt30 series turbo? I know greens have been proven to make good hp and trq numbers (450/450), but the power seems to die off in the upper reaches of the powerband. I would love to have the good low end of stock but be able to hold 25+psi to redline.

Does anyone feel like this would be a great upgrade for them?

 

3071 on pump they are great for 20-25 psi, this boost level is where the 50 trim shines,,,, now for some meth inj or hotter gas 3076R loves the 30 psi levels,,,,
i think a 50 trim is great for you requirements,,,,, i have the same requirements than you and 50 is one of my options.
