I am using the topline lifters in my head. But I have not fired the motor yet. Hopefully this weekend.

STM recommended them when I had my head built by them.

Did they recommend them because of price or because they believed they are better than oem?

Out of all of the orders we've had with the Top Line lifters, we've had a very limited number of cases where there were bad lifters or lifters that still ticked. Percentage-wise, they seem to be incredibly reliable and hold up to some abuse.

Unfortunately, we have not personally tested the GSC lifters to provide adequate commentary on those. From what we hear from customers, though, they'll clear up even the worst tick and perform very well. We haven't heard one bad thing about these.

On the other hand, the RS and Ricer both used OEM lifters. While the tick may be annoying, they still have clearly performed well enough to make some records happen.

I have topline lifters with less than 1k on them. Still making the same(oem) lifter noise/tick/tap after a oil change. Engine is warm. Only happens intermittently above 2,5-3k. Not sure why this is happening.
