big problem with my evo
well today i installed a cusco oil catch can. i thought it was installed correctly. started it up and about a minute after it was running white smoke is pouring out of the exhaust. i turn around and get back to my driveway. I disconnect the the catch can and it still smokes. my coolant looks fine and so does the oil its not milky at all so i don't think i blew the head gasket.. the only thing i noticed when i took the intercooler, intake and piping off that from the turbo had a good amount of oil dripping and some coolant. did i blow the seals out of the turbo?.
It sounds like you pressurized your crankcase. This might and probably did push oil through the turbo seals. Another place oil could be pushed is through the valve seals. However, there is no way that coolant is going to be inside the turbo other than in the cooling jacket. It would have to go through solid metal to get into the exhaust stream.
I'd suggest you drive it and see what happens. I'm thinking the smoke will go away if the crankcase is vented.

thanks, there were a few drops of coolant by the turbo but i couldn't find where it was coming from, the maf was plugged in, i did drive it after i checked everything and took the catch can off, white smoke still comes out a little. its no longer a smoke cloud. it also is still running a little hot though. i also have no check engine light
