Fp Green at 30 psi
272 Cosworth cam
(Brazil) ethanol

 

5 Thousandths max

 

got your pm.... .12-.14mm max

 

Asking for advice on piston wall clearance with this little information is about like asking which girl is the cutest -- Mary, Jane, Sue, or Katy? Hard to give a useful answer with that little to go on...

 

i think wiesco recomends .0025. but i am running .004 in my application

 

Thats why I gave the MAX clearance he could run. He really isn't giving much info.

 

DTM, I sure was not criticizing you. Just pointing out that the question was so vague that any answers would not be useful.

 

I will be running similar mods to what you listing and I am running 3thou.

 

refer to weisco...they have all the info listed...i have set several motors up to 0.0025 & they run great...every piston maker has different expansion rates, "cam" ground into their piston skirt config....refer to piston maker.
