Yup!!!! I am.
Lets find out if those $35,000 laser alignment machines are worthless. I am up for it. If you can find one local to me I will gladly drop my car off so they can check the alignment. Just to see how good my DIY alignment is with using nothing but string, 2 jack stands, a ruler, and a flat surface.
(add a level and a plumb bob for camber/caster)
Just pay for the check to be done and if my way was not accurate you can proudly say the $35,000 machine is worth it!!!!!

How did you do that when you have a -1 inch between the tranny and frame....I have marking on my frame because I had to yank on the tranny to budge it....Would you happen to have any pics?

Dont get me wrong, I am sure those machines really help. They are faster, much more fool proof, much easier, a lot less work (If your car has a wider stance in the back just checking your toe is a LOT more work the DIY way). There is reason's for owning them, but for the average joe going to the local tire place I am willing to bet the DIY alignment is better. Also if you want to auto-x your DD once a year, driving to the track and put a more aggressive toe/camber for the time you are there and drive home with a normal alignment is awesome!
As far as a clutch install goes... I do not trust some places to work on my car. My past experiences with some places are horrible to say the least. TTP has plenty of good/great reviews out there so I would never say "dont trust TTP", but it seems you are trying to use scare tactics to shy people away from working on thier own car. By far, if you dont want to do it yourself, if you have doubts of your abilities, dont get the proper tools for the job, DONT DO IT. Have someone who knows what they are doing do the job.
You can easily compare tuning your car to a clutch swap.... Plenty can go wrong if you jump into it without researching and knowing what you are getting into. No one should just jump into it. There is a lot of information available here though. Take your time, get the right tools, wait until you have the time to do the job right. As an example I ripped the boot on my tie rod end. Something simple that can happen. It was unforseen and the car was down for another two days. You have to prepare yourself for it. Have someone else with you to double check things. What it boils down to is most of the people out there can do it. Some cant. That is why there is shops out there.
SpeedJunkyz, good job! You are past the hump!

you have to twist the transmission before you pull it out if you do it my way....
I havent done anywhere near the number of clutches that TTP has in fact I have about 5 clutches under my belt, but we always remove the T-case and have no problems doing it or putting it back in. Doesnt matter if non-acd, acd, 5 speed or 6 speed.
