Did you have to dissconect the airbag & use its wiring? or is there some other way to do this that I'm not thinking of.

That would be fine for the most part, but I'd like to do a permanent install if possible. That would be my second choice if there's no way to run the wiring through the wheel permanently & keep the airbag fuctional.
