You'd have to find out what your state emissions laws are. There may be a way to change it so its off but shows as on. Im not sure I'd have to keep checking. This all comes to Aktive Matrix first so if you have a acc't there that's the place.

Read through this. Bez,MJ, and Mr. Fred have been doing a lot of testing. MJ thinks that seeing that scan tech shows the egr and evap as not supported so they think it shouldnt be a problem when getting your car inspected.

There is going to be some confusion with emissions with the EVAP system being disabled, becuase ALL cars have evap. The smog computer may say it's ok, but it'll throw up a red flag eventually. The EGR I can see flying through because not all cars have it.

If you're in California, none of this will work for you unfortunately. I know because I want to disable my EGR system, but if it's gone, the smog tech will still have to do a visual and functional test on the EGR system because it will say on the underhood sticker that the car is supposed to have an EGR system, but he'll discover that your car doesn't have one. So it'll fail.

man this is awsome i wish i was a "tuner" or know what the hell i was doing when it came to flashes or ecu tuning cause my girlfrinde has a evo 7 from the uk and it has a evo 8 ecu in it and has a check engine light for the evap system cause the evo 7 dosent have evap on it and the evo 8 us ecu see's that there no evap plugged in. The light is a pain in the @$$

would be sweet if someone that knows how to do this could remove the evap file in the ecu for me id pay them money

i do all the work on our cars but when it comes to electronics its not really" my cup of beer"
