I'm in the middle of installing these at the moment and ran into a possible fitment issue that I'm unsure about. Are the polyurethane ring bushings supposed to float around loosely when the bolts are tightened? Looking at the other side that still has the stock setup, I can see that there might be a reason for this clearance but if someone could just verify one way or the other I would appreciate it.

You might have ordered the ones that are for Evos equipped with AYC. USDM Evos do not have AYC therefore have a different set of bushings made by beatrush. I specified that when I ordered mine from them and mine fit snug after I torqued the bolts down. Im actually 100% thats your problem are you mightve stripped the bolts real bad that they wont go in all the way and theres still play in the bushings. Just search here on EVOM I remember a thread about these...

cordless impact gun..takes 15 minutes

back out the bolts but not all the way so the diff does not drop...

then do one side...take one side all the way out...take old bushings off put new ones on...then start it back in...but don't tighten all the way up..just a few threads to hold the diff up...

do the other side....take it all the way out...replace bushings...same deal...

then tighthen both up...

you're done
