Installed my Injen intake and IC pipe
Installed my Injen intake and IC pipe
I was thinking about removing the front bumber as to what a lot of guys did but I did mine without removing the bumper. It took me 4 hours! because I have to run to get some hardware and some of the clamps on the Evo is positioned in a awkward position. I haven't put back the under tray yet bc I'm waiting to finish the other side.
I notice that on the LICP, it goes from big to small toward the turbo. I mean, it's the same size for the Injen and the stock. I'm thinking about cutting some section from the OEM and add it to the Injen LICP. Any suggestions?

I haven't pushed it yet but seem to me that I need a flash. The RPM seem to go up rather faster now that I have the intake. Also I can hear the BOV like before when it still have the OEM intake.
Not understanding the theory behind adding to the LICP. You definately should need a tune if you went from stock to this set up. Have you noticed your idle is poor? I just put mine in and i went from a cone filter (i was tuned) and my idle is messed up pretty bad, sounds like the car wants to die at idle.
Props for getting the install done without removing the front bumper, i did and still found it a pain in the...fitment isn't a strong suit of this product.

yea it took me n my buddy about 3 hours to put my injen intake and uicp on without taking the front bumper off. but of course i bought it and it was missing some couplers..so we went to the best autoparts store around...the home depot. and the fitment of the uicp was a joke, i cudnt even get the plastic undertray to clip back in where the pipe was. i ended up just returning to my stock setup and selling it.

A mail flash from any respected dealer on the forum would be a good choice. A tune would be very beneficial to you; but if your going to be doing any performance mods to your engine in the near future, I would wait and get the tune done all at once. Tunes aren't cheap (except if you know someone).
I know Mellon does a 3 month kind of subcription service 300 on top of the price of the tune which runs around 200? I've been tuned by them once and in the process of another tune. Awesome service and if you've been around you know there tunes are top notch. I've heard nothing but good things about 4WS too.
