I am almost positive that the VIII and IX factory cast iron O2 housings are identical. An inexpensive upgrade worth 10-15 WHP is a Buschur coated O2 housing. There are several other brands of stainless O2 housings as well.

The manifold and o2 are the same, but the oil/coolant lines and compressor outlet pipe are different. Make sure all that comes with your turbo, and if you get the mani/o2, send them to Buschur to get ported/coated. When they come back, swap them on in place of your stock parts, then sell those.

Yes the porting of the manifold should be done since you'll have the turbo off anyway. Heads up on the oil & coolant lines as well as the compressor discharge tube, Warr!

they are both the same part. I would not waste my time porting the stock 02 housing as you really can't take off that much. Go with a megan. As far as porting the manifold goes I know of one guy that does an amazing job at that.

Yeah, I forgot. Don't even mess with the o2 - just port/coat the mani and get an SS O2.

Yup, I agree. I have the ported/coated exhaust manifold and coated SS o2 housing from Buschur and am happy with both of them. In fact, I think I'm installing the same combo on my friend's IX tonight (plus doing some hand porting of the turbo exhaust housing).
