Question UICP or not?

hey,
quick question and just looking for some opinions. My mods are in my signature along with an ets licp. Im going to be getting my tune soon and im going to be ordering an ets front mount most likely just wondering if i should worry about replacing my upper intercooler piping as well?

i would say not to worry about it now with the mods you have. the UICP really only makes a big difference with larger turbo set ups. i mean it doesnt hurt any to install it now, but def not necessary to make good power

You are gonna hear a lot of wrong answers. Two reasons to change it out. First reason is to get rid of the ****ty flexible couplers that our cars come with stock that expand and blow off. Gets very annoying. Second with a full piping set and on a short route pipe kit you see a little more response. Many people will argue that but the people who try to don't really know much. Its simple that filling less area will get you to your location quicker. Is it that noticeable. I wouldn't say so. To get rid of the ****ty hoses yes. We can't forget about the bling factor that this thing brings. If you have the money go for it. It is not a necessity. Also to those who say you need it for a larger turbo please explain because I know you can't. The factory piping is the same size as any UICP.

the only reason i did both at the same time was because i had the extra money and knew i would be upgrading the turbo in the future. i mean the car felt a little more responsive due to the shorter distance that the UICP has to go from IC to TB.

An UICP will perform the same on a stock turbo as it will a larger one. That statement is ridiculous.

key word it read. You have never tested it so why add. Most of the answers on this site are from people who have heard from other people.

no real gains to be had unless you are putting down some huge numbers

IMO, if you like everything to match, you might as well get the uicp. even if there are no huge gains. (assuming you're not on a super tight budget)

I definitely agree that UICP will prevent the annoying pop off problem on the stock hose. And the shorter route UICP will increase response too, but may or may not feel it.

btw, is there anyone know that Injen UICP will work with stock intake(charge) pipe?
