Cut up my stock UICP

This is either a dumb or bright idea. Anyways, I wanted a bigger end for the LICP so I decided to cut one section of the UICP and connect it to the Injen LICP. Haven't install it yet but you guys tell me if my idea is either or . Will post some pic once it uploaded to photobucket.

Ok here are a few pic to show you what I'm talking about:

This pic is the Injen LICP that I cut the smaller end pipe and connect the middle section of one of the UICP.

This pic is my cut up OEM UICP.

and this pic is my fabrication of the Injen LICP with bigger end.

The sad thing is... I'll have to buy that section if I ever need to go back to stock

Anyways, here's a pic of my Evo in the nice little road up the hill. There's two nice turns but I dare not try to drift there. I don't want to see my car wrap around the trees.

Well, since there is no bead on the pipe, keep enough tools in your car to put it back together if the coupler blows off. Other than that, you should be good to go.

Golruss, it's rather expensive than I thought. Boy, if you live close, I'll come over and have you do it for me.

Guaranteed that LICP will blow apart the first time you boost.

I see why you did it, the larger diameter pipe right? The kit was designed that way for a reason, just try it. If you dont bead the pipes they will blow off every time you get into boost.

Yes the point is to increase the diameter of the inflow of hot air to the IC. I will be using T-bolt clamps and hopefully find a place to do the bead for the pipes. Do you guys know if there's any local shop that will do it?
