You'll more than likely be able to make a single glory pull with a good stock ECU tune and make the numbers you'd like to see, but will definitely have an easier and safe time of it with an intercooler upgrade, especially on pump fuel. While the stocker does flow well, it is not super efficient and is quick to heatsoak during a rip through the gears and especially after repeated pulls. Going with just a mild intercooler upgrade such as our 3" will net you significantly improved knock suppression and you'll find more boost and timing advance available before hitting the knock threshold as well. The car will make more power with tuning and will do it over and over and over again so it's as fast the first rip as the 10th If you'd like to discuss options just let me know!

Agreed Im sporting the 3.5inch ETS intercooler and the only thing better then the product quality and competitive prices is the excellent customer service I'm sure Tom would recommend a 3inch core based on your hp goals and you won't be disappointed.

p.s. Tom, did my minibattery ship yet? I was the guy that called in yesterday with the $250 gift certificate from the raffle at the Proco Evo event in Orlando FL. this past Saturday.

Hey you need a mbc also and the s1 cams are fine, just ordered some myself. You have a similar whp goal as me by the way you can see my mods and I made 343whp, with the s1 cams and intercooler I am shooting for around 400 whp on a dynojet mind you.

To the O.P: How are you controlling boost? On another note, I crushed my IX DV. It works fine, but it's chirpy on upshifts.

Don't now who you use in Houston for mechanic work, but I know a VERY good shop that can help you with it. BARtuning, Mike Staley. If you need help, he knows his stuff.
