10% Ethanol
OK E-10 or 10% eth. with fuel..yes it lowers the crap our cars belch out but does it really? you get worse mileage on e-10 unless you play with your tune to get the lost mileage back.
We get 100% gas here in spring/summer and e-10 in the cold months..I drop lots of gas mileage during winter, I'm down almost 30-40 miles per tank on e-10. I now have tunes for summer and winter..I gained back about half of what I lost on e10.

People are right. You'll get a bit worse gas mileage but should be able to make a bit more power. The ethanol works as a good knock quench so you can up the boost a bit and/or raise timing.
the 10% ethanol allows the gas refiners to cheapen (weaken) the gas, using the ethanol to maintain the octane rating.
for that reason you will be hard pressed to get a real benefit from the ethanol.
the net of it is, a boon for ethanol/gas producers via tax incentives and regulations. no real benefit to the environment or consumers, a straight out money grab with a green coat.
unfortunately that is what all enviro mandates will be. business (buying) government to make regulations forcing us to buy green products. the net environment benefit is next to nil.
look for the money trail, no one wants cap and trade more than the super conglomerates, same goes for all the green coming our way.
