4th to 5th problem

I'm feeling a little griding when shifting from 4th to 5th at moderate to high boost
fluids? I have been using royal purple since I changed my clutch around 5000 miles back.

I can do that
You had the same problem. ACT 6puck clutch? ..you dont think its the fluids. Royal purple was pretty heavy and harsh shifting during winter time. I might change it anyway

We have had many cars come to us with the same problem , some with as little as 15k on them.It seems like a 5th gear grind is common problem. You can try a different fluid with a friction adder and it may help you for a while but this is still a temporary fix.For the most part the transmissions that came to us with this problem the 5th gear synchro was on the way out.In all cases we had we rebuilt the trans and with a new 5th gear synchro the problem was solved. But like I said above you can try a fluid with a friction adder to see if it works because a build is $825.00 where as fluid is around $30.00 .Good Luck

5th gear lock out? try adjusting the clutch, also you could be trying to shift too fast.
