wierd place for boost leak or no?

So I decide to do a boost leak test because my WB and 3 bar sensor comes in this week, and i plan to perfect the tune.

first leak i notice is after the IC, the coupler between pipe holding DV and pipe from IC...so i tighten that and I no longer hear whistling....so I pump back up bout 25 psi, and you can see bubbles from the exhaust mani bolt...just one of them.

I guess i can assume air does go threw motor durin the boost test, but didn't think it would flow threw the thread and bolt....anywho, i tightened it down a smidge and the air bubbles there stopped and all appeas well.

i just thought it was wierd to find a "leak" there...that is all

That doesn't make sense, but as long as you don't have any more leaks...call it good.

I know sometimes with blown headgaskets you can push coolent throught the exhaust mani. Thats how people crack them.

so are you saying even if the exhaust mani was off, air shouldn't come out at all?

I dont believe it should. They are meant to seal 100% for emissions etc.
