And if you knew the difference in quality you would know why they cost more. Other kits are not bullnosed or broached and are made from an inferior material. I don't appreciate your referring to them as a "ripoff" when you clearly have no first hand experience with the product. The cost is a direct correlation to the quality of the studs. We sell a lot of them and our customers are very happy with them.

Don't forget, You get what you pay for. Not saying anything bad about the other kits, because I don't have any personal experience with them. The Jackson Machine kit is actually comprised of ARP products, so you know what kind of quality you're going to get.

What benefits does your kit offer over the www.ssstuds.com product?

JAM SS EVO Stud Kit

Our JAM-EVO stainless steel stud kits are not like the less expensive kits on the market, they are made to our specs thru ARP company. The kit comes with 27 pieces and fit the EVO cylinder heads perfectly.

We contracted ARP to build our studs so we could supply the best possible product to our customers. ARP is well known and respected for their quality fasteners.

Our studs are not priced out of line nor are they too expensive, but compared to lower quality "Stainless" materials being used they sure seem that way

Thank you

ok -so after reading all of your post I get, Your's are made out of a higher quality of 'Stainless'... What grade of stainless are they made out of? What are the www.ssstuds.com made out of? Have you tested the competition (www.ssstuds.com) set? Do they not line up? Do they fail?

I'm going to buy a set of these soon, and would like to understand why I should spend more funds on your solution.

Thanks.

Keep in mind that there are only two studs (Exhaust manifold) that are M10. The Rest are M8.

If you get a stud kit that is all M10's, then you will only use two of them.

There are (2) M10x1.25, and I think (7) M8x1.25. The M8's might be a quantity of (8) though...

And in defense of Jackson Machine, what he says is true. Stainless studs are VERY easy to Gall the threads, and can a lot of the time sieze and break off easier than the stock studs. If you look at ARP's technical information in their cataloge, you will find this out very quickly. Once again, it depends on what the "cheaper" kits are made out of. This possibly is one time/thing that you will be better off paying a little more for a better material than an inferior one.
