where to buy stainless studs & nuts?
I'm looking for stainless studs & nuts for the turbo manifold. I want these for the turbo side as well as the head side. All I've been able to find is the stainless kit from Lancershop, but it comes with copper nuts. Anyone got an idea where I should look?
The one from lancershop comes with SS nuts and washers. DO NOT BUY THIS THOUGH! Stick with the stocks studs. I put these in and when tightening then with a 3/8" ratchet and it didnt even feel tight, one broke off! Stick with the stock ones and if you need new ones, get ahold of Buschur, they sell them for a good price.
Lowes or a store like that shouls sell SS nuts and washers. If not look at Fastenall, they will sell them. Just take a nut to Lowes and see what thread and size it is and then find the nuts. I know that fastenall sells SS nuts.

i haev ordered a dozen or so kits from them and they install effortlessly with my stud extractors
they only have the manifold to the head though, not the turbo side ones.

Mine were just like that. I didnt have a problem installing them, they went in like butter. It broke when I was tightening it down with the manifold installed Luckily it broke off with just enought thread left to get 2 nuts on and back it out and since I had the stock studs still, I just reused it. But I think Ill stick with OEM untill ARP comes out with a set.

yup, the 2 g with m10 studs.
i use a stud extractor, but you can counter tighten two nuts together and turn the inner one to get the stud out. your more likely to break a stud, but its free
We offer them too. They are the higher quality stainless material and the studs are all broached AND bullnosed. Comes with the studs, nuts and washers. NOT allthread. These are made per our specs from ARP.

I'm sorry but I got a quote from you guys on a SS stud set and about chocked at the cost - the price was an absolute ripoff.
ssstuds.com was a great value, great quality, and easy to deal with - I installed them on my car and have had 0 issues.
I notice the cost too, seemed a bit high - I'll check out ssstuds.com today! Thanks.
ok, newb question probably - on www.ssstuds.com, which ones work on an EVO 8? Early 1G, Early 2G or 2G (late 1G)?
