GT30r OR GT35r
Go AMS 35r. Great manifold design for faster spool and the 35r is a monster for pump and meth. I don't think the spool is that bad. I'm a very novice drag racer and I embarrassed a shelby gt500 at the strip, I'm used to embarrassing them at SCCA events, now straitline events! Got to love a 2 liter 500 horse motor! 30R will max your stock block out though and if that's as far as you're going to go then go with that spool is 300-400 rpm sooner which IMO you'll never really notice on the street.
I have a friend that has ran pretty much every turbo you can on a evo and he likes the 3076 the best overall. Especially if u ever end up tracking it. But even on the street it is great. Just do a E85 conversion or meth injection and you will dominate most cars on the road.
P.S. of course I have another friend that says go big or go home...

**Look at the type of fuel that you are going to run the majority of the time then your hp goals** That will def lead you in the right direction. More than likely im going to go with the HTA GT30R with the .82 from ETS. The green is a good turbo but i want a turbo that can put a "full weight" evo in the 10's on race gas. Besides with the 30R kit if i ever want to upgrade to a 35r all i have to do is switch turbos and i cant do that with a green. I will only run pump gas (93 oct) or race gas at the track. I looked at the most bang that i could get on pump with the least amount of lag. The HTA GT30R outperforms the green on pump and makes close numbers to a GT35R but will spool faster. just my thoughts. im sure if im wrong someone will correct me. Also read the post on here where Buschur tested the HTA GT30R.
^^^Nice Numbers! seeing post like that further convinces me that the HTA GT30R is the way to go for me. Do u happen to remember what you made on pump? .63 or .82? thanks
i dont think it has anything to do with being scared of power but more about internals lasting...since i'll still be daily driving the car i dont want anything more than 500hp even if i am built on the daily tune just to be safe..i can always trun it up if need be too for track days and such

the tune is WAY more important than the turbo you choose.
I have seen a car go 10.60's on a GT42r on a stock block with no problems.
Like i said. It's all about the tune.
