Cobb stage 2 with manifold and 02??

I have an AP and am running the stage 2 program, can i either port my manifold and uprade to a nice 02 housing or buy a different header and still run my stage 2 map??

Do i need a retune after i install a header and 02 housing?

and with basically the same ? in mind, my gf owns a 2007 STi and is soon to be a cobb stage 2 as well. If i install a new equal length header and up pipe does she need a retune??

Im a good distance away from shops that have the tuner software for the AP, so i just need to know if i should hold off on these mods till i go to AMS

any help would be appreciated

u dont need a retune with a mani change with the evo

a up-pipe wont help out a sti more for the wrx's and why would you get equal length header for the sti you will loose that boxer rumble and it will sound like a evo

instead of the header that will cost about 700.00 get a 18g turbo for that price and her sti will blow you evo away lol

Silly STI owner. Mod your evo more and then make that comment. STI's under 500whp rarely run 11's.

do you need a retune... no... but your also not going to get the max benefit from your parts... remember that cobb stage maps are made to be safe on all cars with a certain level of mods on a particular type of gas...

if your going to get a protune soon anyways... i would wait until your about to go get it before installing your parts...

in terms of your gf's car... again... no you don't need a retune... and i know that some of the el headers come with a proprietary uppipe... so you might need to do that install regardless...

as a good friend of mine would say... the sweet boxer sound of inefficiency...

n 18g is undersized for the STi IMO.... I'll add that your money might be better spent on suspension... I would see whether she's satified with the stage 2 setup before adding a header...

this really should be in the accessport subforum....
