This thread should be "Who has run the quickest/fastest time at the track on pump" and that would be Trent@Buschur 10.60's@135mph or close to that.

Dynos are all different, temps, tires, etc etc, etc.

Any point could be argued. There are actually a lot more variables on the track. The biggest of which being driver. Even track to track. Here in Ohio for example I've seen people shave 3 tenths at Norwalk compared to National Trails with nothing different done to the cars. I agree with you that the track is the ultimate place for bragging rights .... but the op asked about dyno numbers, so there nothing wrong with that.

Also pump is not static since some people get craptastic 91 @ the pump

To bad Trent made those runs at Dragway 42....arguably one of the crappiest tracks there is.

I am not trying to take anything away from Trent, or anybody in that matter. All I said was that it is not worth arguing over what method of achievement means more. The op asked for dyno record #s, thats all. Like I said, I agree with you that track accomplishment is better, but I didnt start the thread. Its really just a case of personal preference. Theres a place for dyno sheets and theres a place for time slips. Ones preference one way or another is just that, a preference.

edit: Al I think we hit submit at the SAME time because I hit submit, and your showed up under mine.. lol

I made 660 whp on C 16 about 4 years ago and went 9.98 in the 1/4 mile with a gt35 R on race gas C16 - this was on 3250 lbs - was covered in one of the atricles about my car in turbo magazine

At the time i never though to try it on pump gas

I give credit to Buschur as being the first to push pump gas limits although I ask my self why anyone who wants to make that kind of power would not consider using a methanol injection system wuch as an Aquamist to cool the charge temps and enhance the margin of saftey with extra octane ?

Nick of DTM has "622 AWHP on pump Gas" in his sig.

I also know he has a Mustang Dyno and the car in question has shown pretty well in real world conditions.

Then again I don't think his turbo was exactly a 35r. As I understand, it was a some similar sized variation.

I'd like to make a suggestion if I could. You should have the submissions include the dyno and correction factor, and octane of fuel as different locations offer different octanes of pump fuel.

Al (Dynoflash), I'm really starting to question your ability to read.

Buschurs just built a pair of 35s that were in the 540s if I recall. I'm sure they have a whole line of cars that make huge pump numbers. I'll be interested to see what they have to add to the list.

That credit is misdirected.

There was a 2G DSM guy making over 500 WHP on 93 octane on an FP Green several years ago when everybody else was sitting mid 300s on 93 octane. He was pushing 30+ PSI and running LOW timing and every single professional tuner was tearing him up for doing it. DRE or something like that was his screen name on most boards.

There was also a local guy running 32+ PSI on an SC61, stock 2G bottom end and on 91 octane about 4 years ago. The car went 126mph on a full weight (+subwoofer and 50 pound tool box) 2G AWD.
