Does it still look stock externally or is welding visible? (V2 sheetmetal killer)

Edit:
For what it is worth, on the street version match it up to some cams that work with the factory head and maybe upgraded valve springs and base it around a 50 pound/min turbo with the whole setup focused on maximum powerband and I would be quite interested in the cams/intake.

It still looks stock except i believe they are going to do a engraving on it to show its authenticity and clean it up a lil. Its all internal porting not welding. Its like a ported exhaust mani, or there ported mani and tb.

Great to see your back 03whitegsr, The fabricated manifold killer looks stock externally, the whole exterior of the manifold is refinished so it looks like a new part, no welds are visible... For the street I like a lot of low and mid range torque and look at average numbers instead of peak numbers for a street car. There is a tag welded on the plenum and a serial number stamped in the tag.

Man I would love to know how much these will run? I need some more power, and dont care to much for the look of Sheetmetal manifolds.

Indy, I currently have Buschurs standard ported intaje manifold and 65mm T-body.

By getting your porting, how much more power shoudl i be able to pull out of it? I'm already making 500+ AWHP out of my 50 trim on the dynojet.

In addition, which manifold would you recommend for a 2.0L HTA35R turbo revving to 9500 as thats my ultimate power goal??

I've read the whold thread and kept trying to figure out what could make a stock mani so dramatically different and make it perform better than a fabbed mani . . . .

I don't know anything about air flow dynamics, but since what we are really not supposed to see is in the plenum, are you welding in horns or venturis at the top of each runner?? Maybe separating the plenum into 4 chambers with each one feeding a runner?? Just a thought . . . not looking for an answer. I'll have to buy one to find out!

Also, are there going to be dramatic weight savings with the carbon fiber manifold? My buddies have run custom hand built CF intake manis for years on their FSAE cars . . .

There is no carbon fiber manifold coming. No air horns in the intake either.

Sorry, must have misunderstood. In one of Indy's earlier posts he said he was working on a carbon race version for the EVO.

Looking forward to the results of the V2.0 test. Thanks for all the hard work and innovation you guys!

I hope everyone that already has one of DB's ported stockers will be able to send them in for this upgrade at a reduced cost! Mine's still in the box!
